People clearly have different priorities when they play slots. I do have a warm place in my heart for the Nisqully casino down in Yelm-that's where I hit a $6,000 jackpot (you won't see a lot of those from the penny slots!) Snoqualmie has a gorgeous location, but I've had some lousy interactions with the staff there that left a bad taste in my mouth. Tulalip is nice enough, as is Clearwater on Bainbridge Island. I like Muckleshoot in Auburn the best-nice folks, a good nonsmoking section, and they have a decent selection of dollar machines and even a few higher ones (which I'll give a spin if I'm doing really well). I like to play dollars, and I come out at least a little ahead more often than not.

The Emerald Queen in Tacoma has almost nothing but penny and nickel machines, and some people love them-so if that's you, you'll probably like it there. What denominations do you like to play? I hate the dinky ones-pennies, nickels-because the payback percentages are shitty and if you bet the max (which you should on most machines, it's the only way to win the top jackpots) you're putting in just as much per play as with the higher denominations.
